Welcome to the Apoll Component Site,
The idea for the development of the Apoll voting component for Joomla came to me when I did not find any component for processing votes that could suit my needs.В I wanted something ajax driven with a possibility of showing different graphics for the poll results. In the backend I needed more flexibility when dealing with options. Haven't you not being annoyed when you realize that you want your last option to become the first ... and then start cutting and pasting text from one option to another and so on.
aPill component and module for Joomla 1.7 out now!

aPoll 3.0 lite beta1 component and module are now available for public download. Get them from the download section of this site. Everything is now rewritten and fully compatible with Joomla 1.7.
Please log all bugs you may find on the bug tracker.
This is a lightweight version of aPoll. It does the same as the original Joomla 1.5 Poll component with some back-end enhancements plus ajax voting and ajax refresh. There is no pie chart.

Finally the first beta version of the Apoll component and module for Joomla is out! Try it but have in mind that it is still a beta version and some bugs may be around.
Version 3.0 Features Request

As some of you guys might already know version 3.0 of aPoll component will be available as soon as Joomla 1.6 is out /possibly later than earlier/. I know some of you have ideas about the functionality of the component, so here is the place to share it. All suggestions will be taken into consideration and at least debated. Lets make aPoll the ultimate voting tool for Joomla.
Here is the list with the enhancements that will definately be included:
- Added categories support;
- Optional functionality on after voting;
- Hide/Show the results after voting;
- Live update of the results
- Added more results views - google pie, simple flash pie and php-created pies
- Choose more than one option
- Integration with Joomla comment system

Closing to our first stable release

Our team is proud to present to you the first release candidate of Apoll component v. 2.0. We have done a lot of work and testing in the last few days and finally we can say that its almost over. You can download the latest files from the download section. Although it is a release candidate we are open for any ideas which could improve the component.
One of the best improvements is the ability for users to upgrade from version 1.2 without loosing the created polls which will be automatically imported. How to do that is described in the article here.
Other good thing is that Apoll now works with Joomfish 2.0 and poll titles and options can be easily translated. If Joomfish is installed on your system Apoll content element files will be automatically installed too. If its not you will be able to install them later.
